Preparations are already in full swing

The 29. Achema International Exhibition-Congress on Chemical Engineering, Environmental Protection and Biotechnology, the world’s summit for the chemical process industries, will take place from May 11 to 15, 2009 in Frankfurt am Main. Over 4,000 exhibitors and 180,000 visitors from all over the world use this major international event for equipment suppliers of the chemical industry and all branches of the processing industry to exchange ideas and experience and to forge new contacts.

The positive economic situation of the global chemical industry, combined with the promising outlook on the foreseeable future, will certainly boost the demand on the part of the exhibitors. A more compact format of the exhibition, due to some marginal rearrangement of exhibition groups, will enable to accommodate the exhibition group Research and Innovation in hall 4.2. instead of hall 1. Omitting hall 1 from the exhibition layout means the walking distance for the average visitor will be considerably shorter as this hall had turned out to be somewhat off the regular walking pattern.
Achema’s Special Show regularly highlights an innovative topic within the general Achema spectrum. For the upcoming Achema this show inside the show is dedicated to renewable resources and energy, with an even focus on contributions both from chemistry as well as from biotechnology.
