Powtech 2023 takes place with Partec Congress and prozesstechnikTV Talk Shows

Cutting-edge solutions for processing solids and liquids
Powtech 2023 takes place with Partec Congress and prozesstechnikTV Talk Shows

From 26 to 28 September 2023, numerous international experts in mechanical processing, bulk solids and conveying technology will once again gather at Powtech. The extensive supporting programme offers visitors even more wide-ranging sources of inspiration. True to the motto, a video says more than a thousand words, we will also be active at the Powtech, and produces several talk shows per day which can be seen on our prozesstechnikTV Youtube channel. You can find the process technology online team on booth 513 in Hall 4.

The planning for the exhibition, congress and many accompanying attractions is currently in full swing. In September 2023, Powtech in Nuremberg will once again become the hotspot for process engineers and technicians from Europe and many other international markets. Around 600 exhibitors will showcase the latest solutions for processing powders, bulk solids and liquids. Powtech is a technology trade fair for everyone involved in processing and analysing powders and solids in the manufacturing industry, using mechanical engineering and other engineering processes, regardless of whether the raw materials or the intermediate or end products are in powdered, solid, paste or liquid form. That covers many sectors, especially the chemical and cosmetic industry, food and feed, pharmaceuticals and batteries.

Partec Congress will also boost visitor numbers

This year, the parallel Partec scientific congress with more than 400 participants will once again be a special highlight of the event. The international scientific congress for particle technology, sponsored by the VDI Association of Process and Chemical Engineering (GVC), ensures regular dialogue between researchers, graduates and development engineers – while giving Powtech a special flair and an extra, exclusive audience.

Special shows, pavilions and other events

Another Powtech drawcard is its attractive supporting programme, including the following features:

  • the VDMA Special Show on process engineering and air purity with solutions and technologies for dust removal, drying and processing and other bulk solids handling processes
  • the APV Pharma Pavilion focusing on fill and finish and lyophilisation (freeze drying)
  • the Startup@POWTECH Pavilion, where young companies from Germany showcase their inventions
  • the International Start-up Area for newcomers from all around the world
  • the Campus Pavilion, where universities, colleges and other institutions present information about themselves, their research areas and services.

Expert forum and Stage Talks

Exhibitors will also get the chance to present their solutions and services for innovative topics to visitors in form of 20-minute presentations followed by discussion rounds at the expert forum. The Stage Talks will be devoted to the topics: New Food, Perfection in the Supply Chain, Sustainability and Safety, Process Optimisation and Industry 4.0, Fluids meet Solids, and Future Energies. In the run-up to the trade fair, the regular Powtech Virtual Talks webinars will familiarise visitors with these topics.

prozesstechnikTV: Eight talk shows on the most important trade fair topics

The prozesstechnikTV editorial team will produce several talk shows per day. As moderator, Lukas Lehmenn welcomes two studio guests to booth 513 in hall 4 to every talk round. Representatives of the trade fair as well as associations and exhibiting companies are invited. Together they will discuss the most important topics of the trade fair – starting with the production of plant-based foods, systems for pharmaceutical production and AI in mechanical process engineering to solutions for battery production.

Aerzener Maschinenfabrik and AZO could be won as prominent supporters for the productions on the first two days of the fair. The talk shows, which will be between 15 and a maximum of 30 minutes depending on the topic, will be published daily on the prozesstechnikTV YouTube channel and on the video platform prozesstechnik.tv.

Look into the futre of Powtech

Powtech is expanding its importance as the technology platform for the processing sector, and will in future operate under a new branding as Powtech Technopharm from 23 to 25 September 2025 at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg, where it will be co-located with Partec 2025 and Fachpack 2025. With this new enhancement it will provide the perfect platform for the growing pharmaceutical and life sciences industry. The Technopharm component will be dedicated to pharmaceutical process engineering, which intersects with mechanical process engineering – in the manufacture of solid drugs in tablet form or the production of cough syrups by dissolving solids in liquids, for example. In addition, the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries need apparatus and plants to manufacture liquid, semi-solid, sterile and aseptic products, which are filled into containers such as vials and syringes. These processes are especially important for biotechnology, which offers market opportunities across a range of sectors.
