Nine start-ups in three categories – industrial biotechnology, energy and measurement & analytical techniques – convinced the expert jury of the Achema Start-Up Award 2015 with their concepts. They will present their technologies at the special Start-Up Award booth in Hall 9.2 from 15 to 19 June 2015. The overall winners in the individual fields who will carry off the 10,000 euro prize money will not be announced until the opening session of Achema on 15 June 2015.
The Achema Start-Up Award honours outstanding ideas and young entrepreneurs in the chemical, processing and biotech industries. The aim is to provide support during the development of a business plan which addresses pressing future challenges. It is a condition for participation that natural persons are named as the potential founders and that the start-up is located in Germany.
The award is organised by Dechema Gesell-schaft für Chemische Technik und Biotechnologie e.V., Dechema Ausstellungs-GmbH, Business Angels Frankfurt-Rhein-Main e.V. and High-Tech Gründerfonds. The German Chemical Industry Association (VCI), the Association of German Engineers (VDI), the German Federation of Industrial Research Associations (AiF) and the German Chemical Society (GDCh) are competition partners. Altana and Air Liquide are among the sponsors.
