Herding developed an extraction system for plants for an extraction rate of 1500 to 2000 m³/h. The so-called PharmEx filter features a pressure shock resistant design that allows the separation of organic dusts with a maximum explosion pressure of 10 bar and a KSt value of 250 bar m/s without the need for additional constructive efforts on the filter unit.
The dust will be separated on the first filter stage by the sinter-plate filter element which is cleaned on-line by a jet-pulse. Since the filter performance of this first filter stage is already complying with the requirements of the dust classification H 11 and a clean gas value of <0.2 mg/m³ is to be expected, a downstream installed Hepa-filter, regardless of its quality, can be seen as a police filter, which hardly ever has to be exchanged. This is an advantage in regard of the containment of highly effective dusts if the system has not to be opened. On option a WIP-system (first rinse) assures that no dust can escape when opening the system. For dust disposal various dust collecting-systems can be connected to the hopper.
