The size of diaphragm pump heads has so far been determined by the diameter of the flat diaphragm. Feluwa has developed a hermetically sealed hose-diaphragm pump, which is designed without flat diaphragm and thus allows for a substantially compacter design. The heart of this Multisafe pump are two hose-diaphragms which are arranged one within another. The conveyed fluid passes the inside hose-diaphragm in a linear flow path. Apart from the hose-diaphragm it is in direct contact with the check valves only. The pump is thus capable of handling critical or super critical media at minimum wear. Online diagnostic systems provide for permanent condition monitoring of the hose-diaphragms and check valves.
