The special feature of the integral geared motor concept OneGearDrive from Danfoss Bauer is the omission of the normal cooling fins. Due to the totally smooth surface, no dirt traps can form where micro organisms such as microbes or bacteria could build up. If necessary cleaning is made very simple. As the totally enclosed motor does not need a fan for cooling, airborne germs like aerosols which could settle on open packages such as bottles will not be distributed in the air and thus not contaminate the product.
The totally smooth coated surface is furthermore resistant against commonly used cleaning and disinfection agents. The advantage for the user is reduced cleaning, longer cleaning intervals leading to longer production times, reduced usage of cleaning agents and thus an increased product safety.
The OneGearDrive in the hygienic design has been certified by the Research Centre Weihenstephan acc. to EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering Design Group) and from Fraunhofer IPA for use in clean rooms.
