The Lutz B70V Sanitary eccentric screw pump was developed and designed for pumping liquid foodstuffs, pharmaceutical agents and cosmetic products from different vessels and containers. All parts coming into contact with the product are made of resistant stainless steel (1.4571/ 1.4404), 3-A/FDA compliant plastics (PTFE) and elastomers (EPDM). An open-type spring-loaded mechanical seal is available or optionally a closed version to avoid direct contact with the medium.
The entire design of the Lutz B70V Sanitary places hygienic features in the foreground: only manually detachable, thread-free connections have therefore been used in the areas in contact with the product. The pump has virtually no dead legs, so that microbiological problems caused by germs and bacteria are practically impossible. The Lutz B70V Sanitary is easy and fast to dismantle and reassemble for thorough mechanical cleaning and disinfection. All liquid-contacting parts are easily accessible for inspection and servicing. Quick-release TRI-clamp connections according to DIN 32676 and couplings to DIN 11851 avoid contamination even at the discharge.
Versatile and variable
With a flow rate of 12 to 50 l/min and a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar, the Lutz B70V Sanitary is suitable for pumping thin- bodied to highly viscous media. Thanks to the low pulsation and low shear effect, solid particles and soft solids such as small fruit pieces can be pumped.
The chosen immersion depth and the small immersion tube diameter ensure that drums, IBC containers and other commercially available container types are emptied safely and almost completely from above. Various drive motors can be used, e.g. a 3-phase motor with or without an integrated frequency converter (B70V-H-D) or a universal motor (B70V-H-SR). The drive motor can be separated from the pump tube instantly thanks to the new quick-action coupling or hand wheel, allowing the operator to switch from one task to another at any time.
