The F31K2 inductive dual sensor from Pepperl+Fuchs is designed for outdoor use. The housing-in-housing design of the sensor provides dual mechanical protection and ensures impermeability. In this design, the sensor electronics including LEDs are integrated in a sensor module and encapsulated. Together with the terminal compartment, this module is integrated in another housing. The housing cover is made of a robust, impact-resistant, translucent plastic material so that no further sealing is required. The housing materials offer a high level of UV protection, temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance. The BT65 and BT115A targets enable use on rotary travel pneumatic actuators, actuators accepting stem heights to 50 mm and stem diameters of up to and stem diameters of up to 90 mm. To easily view the open/closed valve position over longer distances, an additional puck system has been developed.
