The tube surface thermometer from Jumo is ideal for measuring temperatures on tubing systems and other rounded surfaces. Because measurement is indirect, the flow characteristics of the medium in the tube are unaffected. The small, aluminium contact part is suitable for tubes 10 to 100 mm in diameter. With the retaining strap, mounting is quick and space-saving. Applying a heat transfer compound between the tube and the contact part can improve results. The options for temperature acquisition are Pt 100 or 1000 and KTY or NTC. The choice of connecting cable is influenced by the measurement temperature required. Eco-nomical versions with a PVC cable can be used up to 105 °C. More demanding requirements, up to 260 °C, are implemented by a PTFE cable. The transition to the connecting cable can be reinforced with anti-kink cable protection.
