The tried and tested Knick sensor lock-gate Ceramat is designed for applications where deep immersion is necessary. Ceramat WA 160 has a diameter of merely 65 mm and is available with immersion depths between 600 and 2000 mm, making it suitable for use in boilers, basins and channels where a lateral installation of short fittings is impossible. There are provided four Ceramat WA 160 models for different requirements: stainless steel 1.4571, corrosion-resistant plastics (PP or PVDF) or electropolished stainless steel 1.4435 for hygienic processes.
Just like the compact Ceramat version, the WA 160 allows for easy in-process separation of drive unit and sealing unit for maintenance purposes. All Ceramat models consist of a virtually wear-free sealing made from hard aluminium oxide ceramic, which opens and closes by turning, and a corrosion-resistant, carbon reinforced non-moving PEEK or PVDF housing.
The smooth and lapped sealing surfaces do not wear out even in abrasive media, and all used materials are suited for chemically aggressive media. Thereby, the sensor lock-gate Ceramat qualifies for use in difficult processes where conventional fittings with O-ring sealings fail.
