The LFB Batch mini L fluidised-bed plant (LFB mini) is a compact plant for laboratory applications from Amandus Kahl. The LFB mini has features to perform fluidised-bed processes, such as drying, agglomeration, spray granulation, microencapsulation or coating of powders, granules or pellets in small batch scale for product quantities from 200 to 2500 g. The LFB mini consists of a compact stainless-steel housing with an integrated control system and air technology (including filter, air heater and fan).
In addition to its equipment and expertise for fluidised-bed technology, the company will also be displaying its pelleting technology. Among the equipment being exhibited is the flat die pellet mills type 14–175 and 33–600. The company‘s pellet mills are particularly suitable for pelleting dusty products with a low bulk density and those that are difficult to dose. They can be GMP certified for applications in the pharmaceutical industry.
