Conventional oil-in-water (OiW) analysers on the market measure indirectly and rely on secondary oil properties. This poses a challenge in choosing the right analyser, as the consistency, composition and origin of the oil can influence the analytical result. This becomes particularly critical when the OiW composition changes over time and includes various unknown oil types.
To overcome these challenges, Process Insights offers an effective solution for the petroleum and petrochemistry industries. The QuickTOCultra analyser measures directly and quantifies all types of oils, fats and lubricants, regardless of their origin. As a total organic carbon (TOC) analysis, it responds to all organic hydrocarbon species, offering a dynamic measurement range from 10 to 50,000 mg C/L.
The QuickTOCultra analyser features innovative sampling techniques, transfer systems and an anti-isokinetic sampler. With the ability to monitor up to six streams in one unit, the analyser provides the capability to simultaneously monitor influent and effluent wastewater, determining the efficiency of wastewater-treatment plants. Many of these analysers are successfully in operation, protecting water streams from various oils, detecting environmental pollution, and saving costs.
