Gemü has expanded its Conexo range for lifecycle management of plants to include a retrofit solution of existing systems as well as a cloud connection. The system actually consists of valves equipped with RFID chips and a corresponding IT infrastructure. Thanks to serialisation, every relevant component such as the body, actuator or diaphragm can clearly be traced using the company RFID reader. Furthermore the corresponding app for mobile devices makes the maintenance process much more transparent and easier to document. Finally, the internet portal acts as a central element, helping to collect, manage and process data. The retrofit solution enables company valves as well as products from third parties to be integrated into the system. Various options are available to identify the components: plastic shields with cable tie, adhesive labels for plastic components, and captive stainless steel seal. The cloud connection facilitates network-independent access to data without local installation of the company portal.
