22.10.2012 – At this year’s Pack Expo Romaco will show a tube filling machine for the primary packaging of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics along with selected process technologies. The Unipac U 2060 automatic tube filler has an enclosed design that meets ergonomic requirements. With its compact structure and a footprint of less than 1,5 m², the unit is easy to access and versatile. Equipped with eight stations, the technology is ideal for filling semi-solids such as ointments, creams, gels and pastes on behalf of the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. The products are filled into aluminium, laminate or polyethylene tubes, which are closed either mechanically by means of a series of folds or in a heat-sealing or hot air process. This robust machine has a maximum output of sixty tubes per minute and is intended for small-to-medium sized batches.
The FrymaKoruma MK 320 corundum stone mill can be used to process foods, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and chemical products. The system achieves particle sizes of between 150 and 40 µm. The products are fed into the mill either in-line or via a hopper, depending on their flow properties. The wet grinding process with corundum stones is based on the rotor-stator principle. Stones with various grains are available to suit different requirements. An automatic milling gap adjustment function can be supplied for the FrymaKoruma MK as an option. Axial milling gap control allows individual adjustment of the shear and cutting forces during a production run.
The Romaco technology will be on show at the Pack Expo exhibition in Chicago (USA) from October 28 to 31, 2012, booth S-232.
