The drum emptying station from Dietrich Engineering Consultant allows discharging drums. The station consists of a suction hopper connected to the Powderflex by a flexible hose. The hopper is installed on a manual tumbler. An automatic lifting system seals the drum to the hopper.
The drum is manually turned by a handle on the side of the unit and the product is transferred by the Powderflex system installed on the drum tipper frame which also bears the control panel. When the drum is empty, the system is turned back and a new drum is connected.
A security insures that the drum can not be disconnected if the drum tipper is not in lower position. The complete system can be cleaned in place. The transfer can take place under inert conditions.
