The Lauda iVisc is a capillary viscometer for the automatic measurement and evaluation of kinematic and intrinsic viscosity in accordance with DIN 51562, ASTM D445. In addition, it enables the calculation of polymer data, e.g. VN, IV, K value and dynamic viscosities of oils, lubricants and drinks.
Easy plug & play device installation and intuitive graphical operator guidance make the iVisc very user-friendly. The fully automated, space saving and mobile system stands out for its power consumption of less than 1 Watt, which is based on energy-efficient technology. Another performance feature is the highly sensitive, intelligent NIR meniscus measurement. Ubbelohden and Micro-Ubbelohden as well as Micro-Ostwald and Cannon-Fenske capillaries can be fitted in the iVisc, which can be operated from a control and evaluation unit, e.g. netbook, or optionally from a PC. A USB interface serves as the control and voltage supply to the device.
The iVisc can be used in any test laboratory in which viscosities are determined. Other diverse application examples can be found in quality control for polymer producers, compounders and producers of prefabricated plastic components.
