Float switches from Bernstein provide a reliable and cost-effective acquisition of level information in containers with stagnant or flowing liquids, such as water, oils, alkaline solutions and similar substances. A float switch comprises a connector element, a switching tube with one to four reed contacts and the float. The float is equipped with an integrated ring magnet and rises and falls with the level of the fluid. The magnetised contact reeds trigger a signal as soon as the float reaches the sensing range of the reed contact. The range of Bernstein float switches ranges from miniature versions to heavy-duty and pressure-resistant versions. The particular advantage of these float switches is, that the switching contact can directly – when furnished with the proper protection – switch loads, e. g. relays, signal lamps or even small pumps.
