Physically cross-linked polyethylene pipes (PE-Xc pipes) represent an alternative to classic pipe materials for industrial applications. The advantages of these flexible hoses and pipes come to the fore in temperature ranges between -40 and 110 ºC. Looking at the various applications, the respective pressure/temperature combination is important. For example at 10 bar, temperatures of up to 95 ºC are possible. The wear and abrasion-resistant, corrosion-free PE-Xc pipes are also suitable for transporting many aggressive media thanks to their high chemical and acid resistance.
