Glatt has developed a CIP-able spray nozzle for fluid bed and spouted bed applications. The HSF-nozzle has only smooth and round surfaces in contact with product and atomization air. At no point product can stick in a gap or to a ridge. After flushing both lines – liquid and atomization air – with cleaning water, it will run off easily, no sink will keep residues.
The nozzle can remain in the equipment, even when changing the nozzle, since only the liquid insert needs to be changed. The outer shaft stays in the equipment; the only opening is the small hole where the atomization air enters the process – too small to allow any explosion to propagate. The nozzle can simply always stay in the equipment. If required for inspection of the nozzle can be easily and quickly dismantled. It consists of only five parts which are screwed together.
