De Dietrich Process Systems is expanding its range of turnkey plant extraction solutions to cover all steps in the extraction of cannabidiol (CBD) and THC. In the field of plant chemistry, the molecules currently being extracted from cannabis and hemp are mainly cannabidiol (CBD) and THC. The extraction of these compounds is based on processes for which the group already has considerable know-how. The first step in many cases is solvent extraction using supercritical CO2 or organic solvents. A variety of subsequent steps then determine specific qualities or types of use, whether preference is to be given to extracting CBD or THC.
De Dietrich Process Systems develops turnkey solutions for the installation of these processes at the customer’s request by carrying out simulations and tests in-house. The engineering team draws on its knowledge of plant extraction system implementation, both standard solutions available on the market and the group’s own solutions.
